This weather-resistant Rubbermaid has the highest rating on Amazon for sheds with a substantial number of reviews—and for good reason. This shed crams a whole lot of storage customization options into a small space, including pegboard, shelving, utility hooks, and racks.

Unlike some of the other resin options, the design of this Rubbermaid shed is understated and simple—great for those who aren' you’re not in the market for a shed that looks like a tiny backyard cottage. 

This sandstone-colored resin build comes in five different sizes, so regardless of your needs there’s likely one to meet your needs.

If you live somewhere with higher winds, you may want a shed that’s lower to the ground. In this case, the highly-rated Homspark horizontal storage shed could be for you.  

In addition to its gale-dodging dimensions, this shed’s roof can be lifted, providing easier access to materials stored higher up. Do note that shelves for this unit are sold separately. 

Consumers who have and love their Homspark storage shed found it easy to assemble, that it provided decent storage for its size, and that it was generally a good value. The main complaint we found about this shed is that it’s less sturdy when the lid and doors are all open and a shelf isn’t installed.

If price is no object and you’re looking for a substantial shed that doesn’t skimp on storage space, you can go all in on the Lifetime 6446 outdoor storage shed. This shed is predominantly resin with metal supports, and it carries some homey touches in the design of its windows, faux shutters, and double doors. 

Inside you’ll find six small skylights, adjustable shelving, peg strips, shatterproof windows. Its 90-inch x 174-inch x 94-inch interior dimensions are enough for you to store just about all your outdoor equipment, plus a kayak.  

Consumers who already have a Lifetime 6446 shed say it has more than enough storage for all their needs and having such a large, walk-in space provides the same experience as a custom-built wooden structure.  

Do note that this structure is so large that it does require proper foundation to ensure its proper functionality over time.

Rubbermaid strikes again with a storage shed featuring two doors that swing open at its front and a roof that lifts like a lid to provide easier access to some items. This shed can also accommodate a shelf, which Rubbermaid claims is sold separately, but we couldn’t find it—a wooden plank should suffice, however.  

This shed comes in several variations: a small build, a split-lid version that’s slightly larger, and a large version.  

Users say it is generally perfect for their needs, easy to assemble, and overall a good value for its price. Some even came back to post that it has held up over time well, indicating it delivered on its promise of durability. 

Get the Rubbermaid Horizontal Resin Storage Shed at Amazon starting at $230

If you’re less looking for a sturdy structure and more just need an area under a canopy, the Shelter Logic Shed-in-a-Box could be what you’re looking for. This durable design uses steel support beams and a polyethylene covering, and comes in a ton of different configurations of shapes, colors, and sizes. 

Shed-in-a-Box users are fans of how much storage it offers for its price, and found the assembly relatively easily. There are complaints about the ease of setup, however, as apparently this build uses several similar (but different) sizes of screws.  

Overall, as long as your local weather permits a fabric tent like this, it seems to be a good budget option for keeping items dry in any weather. 

Get the Shelter Logic Shed-in-a-Box starting at $172

If you’re looking for something with a bit of a homier aesthetic, the Keter Manor outdoor storage shed also provides a nice look for its purchase price. This resin shed comes in two sizes and has a walk-in design with windows. Its resin exterior makes this shed weatherproof, and its steel interior helps give it a bit more heft and stability that some other options lack.  

Reviewers who are happy with their purchase of this shed love its look and find it provides a lot of storage and customization options. While a bit pricey, its durability and design do seem to merit spending a little extra. 

Get the Keter Manor Resin Outdoor Storage Shed at Amazon starting at $500

While it’s not the highest-rated shed on this list, this U-Max shed still commands a decent score for its number of reviews. This shed has an alloy steel skeleton with polypropylene panels, which may be a bit more robust than the many resin-based options you can find online.  

The U-Max sheds have four different sizes, each of which feature a sloped roof and some vents in the side to help it from becoming an oven in the summer sun.  

Buyers who love their U-Max shed say it has easy assembly, provides excellent storage for its size, and is a good value overall. Those who don’t like the U-Max generally had some trouble with its assembly.
